Buttercup Bag

This summer I sewed up a storm with Nila, (B’s Alaska grandma) while visiting in Juneau. Here is a little of what came from the madness. The free pattern comes from Made by Rae, and is nice and simple. All you need for one purse is 1 fat quarter plus a bit more fabric for lining, magnetic snaps and 1 or 2 buttons. I made two purses out of 2 fat quarters, interchanging the pieces a little to spice things up. Its the perfect size for the bare essentials, but for the other 99% of the time, I need a larger bag. I like the simplicity of this pattern, so I think a pattern enlargement is in the works next.
