Hanging Bookshelf

Hanging Bookshelf

I made this easy hanging bookshelf a month or so back. It displays books right at toddler height, and with the cover facing out so they can find the book they want more easily. Thank you Penny Carnival for the great idea and tutorial. All this takes is a 47″ x 42″ piece of fabric and a quick trip to the hardware store for some 4′ dowels and double curtain rod brackets,  a drill to mount it on the wall, a sewing machine to whip it up, and voila!

I imagine you could use the same concept for a magazine rack – maybe a bathroom magazine/book rack with short dowels.
